Is this house in Oakland, CA?
How is your water hooked up?
Is it legal to have on your property?
I am in the Bay Area and would like to know how you managed to live/use this.
Here is my e-mail address, i am the designer/builder: matt@justfinedesignbuild.com
I’m very interested in this. But the link to more info is just a blog – no real info about the sale of it. Can you help, please?

Acanthus is the plant. Mostly west coast I think. You can look it up. They’re blooming now in Berkeley and surrounds.
Love the tiny porch swing.
No pics? No interest then… 🙂
HI Jean. There are several more images to this tiny house and many more to paying customers.
Paying…?please…!
The author has an observation about tumbleweed tiny houses that while I don’t live in one (I designed and built my own 136sq ft tiny bungalow) I would like to make a slight contention in defense of Jay’s designs. Mention is made of not enough void space in relation to bulk and storage. My take on the subject is that when empty the tumbleweed design has an airy and light feeling, it is the person that occupies it that creates the lack of void, airy space. As Henry David Thoreau said, “A man is rich in proportion to the number of things he can afford to let alone.”
Most people are poor in relation to the amount of stuff they try to cram into jay’s houses.
That has been my take after being in several of the tumbleweed design tiny houses.
love it!! i have been seriously thinking about doing this! i can not afford rent and it impossible to find a place that allows pets. super cute!! 🙂
Are there any pictures of the inside of the house?
