Set in 12 acres of woodland with beautiful valley views, Ravendere Retreats is just a short stroll from the village of Lee. Nature is all around you, adding to a sense of peace and tranquility, and the Ravendere Retreats treehouse itself has been designed and furnished to a very high standard.
You are likely to want to enjoy your meals out on the deck, where a wood-fired pizza oven and gas barbecue await you. There is a dining table and chairs, and a pair of leather lounge chairs to retire to after dinner and enjoy the forest view.
There’s more space to eat inside, with a kitchen area that’s complete with a large window looking out onto the deck. Essentials including a kettle and Nespresso coffee machine are provided. The main living area is cosy and comfortable, warmed by a wood-burning stove, and providing entertainment with a selection of DVDs and games. It’s a lovely spot to curl up with a book as well as enjoy a movie or some TV.
A very special bedroom features an irresistible king-size bed with roll-top bath just a few steps away. You can enjoy the stunning valley views straight from the tub, and this romantic room also has the use of a separate bathroom with walk-in waterfall shower. Complimentary Korres toiletries are provided, along with Egyptian cotton towels, bathrobes and bed linen. You’ll also have all you need to get ready for a night out with a dressing area complete with screen and dressing table.
If all that wasn’t enough, the Ravendere Retreats treehouse is also within a 10-minute walk of the local pub, The Grampus, ideal for a pint and a home-cooked meal. The secluded and dog-friendly beach at Lee Bay is just 15 minutes away and makes a lovely spot for an evening stroll.
You will be well-placed for Woolacombe’s highly regarded beach too – the place to be for surfers or just those who fancy a picnic in scenic surroundings. Ilfracombe’s pretty harbor is complemented by some excellent restaurants and offers boat trips to nearby Lundy Island, with all sorts of wildlife-spotting opportunities along the way.
