Old oak treehouse is a magical wooden building is constructed around a huge oak tree, which has an enigmatic presence as its boughs and trunks twist through the centre of this storybook-worthy house. Climbing up a few wooden steps into the living area, which has cosy rugs on the wooden floors and comfy sofa to snuggle down on, guests will be immediately enchanted.

Beyond the living room and through to the bathroom – which is stunning. A stylish soaking tub has a large window situated directly adjacent to the bath.



Looking out over the fields, it is perfectly private and is a romantic place to luxuriate in bubbles and enjoy the views. The fittings are modern and stylish, the wooden floor, walls and ceilings are all exposed, but the showstopper in the room is a section of the majestic oak that grows through the centre.

The tree is ever-present throughout the property, branches, dressed with pretty fairy lights, push through walls and ceilings. It emerges from the ground imposing and impressive.







Undoubtedly, this is a truly memorable and magical place to stay. On the first floor, there is a small kitchen which is well-equipped for simple romantic suppers amongst the trees.

A large double bed is fitted against another large window, which looks out across the expansive countryside, and a night’s sleep is guaranteed in this very special spot.

In the evenings, head out onto the balcony to enjoy the sunsets and the starry skies. Listen as the wind blows through the leaves and watch as the wildlife gathers around the lake. Or, enjoy the two hammocks provided and spend the day relaxing in the shade of the leaves.

The old oak treehouse is situated in rural Essex near Tilbury and the historic market town of Gravesend. The flat landscape makes it perfect for leisurely bike rides exploring the pretty villages and picnicking on the banks of the River Thames. Tilbury and Gravesend both have plenty of stores for picking up tasty supplies.
