From French tiny home builder Baluchon is the Mogote, a 6-meter (~20-foot) home with a large sliding door and detailed woodwork throughout.

The exterior of the Mogote is clad in red cedar and blue standing seam aluminum. A sliding door opens into the living room.

In the living room is a sofa bed, upper shelves, and a storage shelf that spans from the wall to the bedroom loft. There is also a large window next to the sofa.

A combination of spruce and oak were used to finish the kitchen cabinets and countertop. The kitchen includes a two burner cooktop, under counter refrigerator, and single bowl sink. Across from the kitchen is a table that seats three.

The bedroom loft features two large triangular bookcases. Absolutely, the loft bedroom of Mogote is stunning and perfect. Makes me think of building one for first-hand experience.

Below the loft is the bathroom, which is equipped with an 80x80cm shower, dry toilet, a wardrobe, and a cabinet with a small washbasin and storage drawers.

The Mogote was built for a client that will use it as a primary residence in the Nantes vineyard area of France.
Baluchon is a French artisan company (the workshop is located in Le Pallet, a few kilometers from Nantes), specializing in the design and manufacture of made-to-measure tiny houses. The team also offers facilitating tools for self-builders. In our small houses, nothing is left to chance. The alliance between comfort, functionality, well-being and eco-responsibility is our priority. As you can see, at Baluchon, “small” does not mean “less”, quite the contrary.
