I would like to share our Backyard Bunkie. It is a 192 sq. ft. mini house we have built on our property. It sits on top of a hill with amazing views of the Appalachian Mountains (about 45 minutes from Asheville). It has a full bathroom with standard plumbing, a kitchenette with a mini fridge, sink, microwave and an open area with a queen pillow top mattress and loveseat. It also offers a 32″ flat screen television, patio with rocking chairs, table, gas grill and Wi-Fi.

A 192 square feet guest cabin in Marion, North Carolina. More info. Backyard Bunkies.

  1. Wow, very neatly done. The colors are subdued and nuetral and the siding looks like you would use on a utility building, but its some well done it has its own charm. The interior has lovely touches and has a great feel to it. windowboxes of bright red geraniums would look really nice on the railings. or a trumpet vine of fat red trumpet flowers…excuse me, just day dreaming. Sure beats a tent.
What a nice era we are living in to have these kinds of charming places to choose from when we are traveling.
