  1. The placement of the wood stove worries me because of it’s proximity to the couch and the kitchen stove (could easily char or burn the couch and blister the finish on the side of the kitchen stove). I would extend the metal heat barrier to wrap around the wood stove’s enclosure & put some sort of non-combustible insulating materials behind it but other than that, I LOVE LOVE LOVE this bus conversion! GREAT job!

    • They do have sheet metal behind the stove and the enamel on those old (and I can tell that it is an old gas stove about the vintage that mine was) gas cook stoves won’t blister from heat. The metal was thicker and the enameling job was better in those days. I would however make a partition between the couch/daybed and stove and line the side facing it with sheet metal. But I’m sure people take caution with wood stoves (I hope!) and not get them blazing to the point that it would cause trouble.

  2. Awesome idea where are plans and cost estimates for someone who would like to imitate this idea. I’d add a rack on top of bus for hauling supplies or whatever (water tank or luggage). And maybe a extra addition to back for storage. Question? Is this bus operational meaning drivable?
