Hi! J.D. Aronsohn here. I have been “swooning” about tiny houses for a number of years – probably since a Huffington Post article I saw in 2010. It has taken me a few years between work and family commitments to build one, but here it is. Originally designed as a guest house (and still likely to be so used), it is somewhere that my wife and I would like to move into when our kids leave our traditional house.
Some of the cool features include a salvage stairway consisting of stairs taken from our main house when remodeling and a industrial wire spool to get the rest of the way down. Also we made a swing-out spinning seat (used a heavy duty lazy susan bearing) and a section of the counter that swings up or down as needed.
The couch pulls out to be a small bed as well.
It feels like a treehouse when you are inside since the trees surround it. My wife hates when I say it, but based on my color choices, I think I could probably sell it to Captain America.
(P.S. The chicken coop is on a trailer too! Had some extra siding I could not return.)
Thanks for looking . . .

I love this tiny house! The staircase is amazing, and I appreciate that it was taken from the main house. Great use of materials. The outside is storybook-like. Lots of character and lots of utility. Well done!
What a tiny house! I love it. Great work and craftsmanship. I want one in my size.
Perfect combination of wood and white! Spool stairs are a work of art! Swing out chair is so very retro cool and functional. Branches for railing – nice touch. Too nice for Captain America – I’ll take it!
what is the square feet. It looks fairly large. beautifully built.
