Deep Woods Tiny House

Deep in the woods of Northern California. Spring water and solar power and scavenged wood and antique portholes from real ships. All for about $1000!

Photos and build by Maximillian Godino.

    • Just because you write, “Not to be rude”, doesn’t mean it’s then “okay” to be rude. Next time you have a question, first pretend you’re a decent person and not an anonymous internet troll. Then remember your looking for information or to ask a question and you’re speaking to human being.
Like this. “Hey friend, I have to assume you scavenged the doors and windows, because those alone would cost at last a $1000. What building supplies did you actually have to buy to complete the home?”

Now you might get an answer, rather than calling the guy a liar.

      • You tell ’em Josh! Anytime they start with “I don’t mean to be rude” they always mean to be rude! If you just drive around you can salvage things people are throwing out. But when you approach people with things you need you have to remember not be RUDE! Very cool cabin!

    • I could see this only costing $1000 for a resourceful owner/builder. There is so much salvageable wood and other materials in the world if you look for it and people taking out perfectly good materials like windows and doors when they remodel and update. If you look closely, the siding is the inside walls – this would not be so cozy for year-round use in a colder climate, but in Northern California it probably is with a stove. Very no-frills and functional without the expense of much detail in the finishes.

  1. Very charming – I guess there must be an outhouse somewhere, because the photo tour doesn’t seem to include a potty 😉 I would guess there is a BBQ of some sort outside as well, as that scrumptuous stove doesn’t look like you can cook on it. As a getaway – excellent! ♥

  2. I love this house, it is simple yet beautiful. I’m making my own modeled after this one but on the edge of a cliff on my property in the laurentians in Quebec Canada
