Hergest Lee is a contemporary holiday home in Wales that offers you an idyllic, comfy base from which to explore Powys and Mid-Wales. Designed to mirror the curves of Hanter Hill that sits opposite the cabin, Hergest Lee has been made using beautiful local cedarwood. Built using sustainable materials, and with the environment in mind, the cabin offers you an eco-friendly holiday home that oozes style and comfort.
As you arrive, the large double doors open up into the open plan kitchen and living area. This space has been carefully thought out and makes use of high ceilings, cleverly positioned windows, and lots of exposed wood.
The lounge has room for you to spread out and socialize. Grab a bottle of wine and get comfy on the leather sofas. Spending the evening with your loved ones in comfort.
Then, there is an open living space. It also has a modern kitchen that’s nicely equipped with everything you need to cook some delicious dinners. The kitchen has a small fridge, kettle, toaster, a two burning gas hob, and plenty of cupboard space to store essentials.
Luxurious Master Bedroom
The luxurious master bedroom sits next to the lounge and has a large picture window that offers amazing views of Hergest Ridge and Offa’s Dyke Path.
You even have your own free-standing bathtub that sits right next to the window and offers you the chance to enjoy a relaxing soak whilst taking in your surroundings.
The bedroom has a comfy double bed, beautiful color tones, and a separate shower room.
There is space for an additional three guests to sleep up in the mezzanine. This room is accessed via a floating wooden staircase and has a double mattress and a single mattress.
This room is quite small, you can’t stand up in there, but it offers a cozy place to rest for three. The mezzanine offers more lovely views thanks to its long horizontal window that overlooks the hill.
When you step outside, there’s a delightful garden area. A perfect spot you can sit in the sunshine and breathe the fresh country air. You can spread out on the lawn and lie in the sun. Or dine al fresco on the decking whilst enjoying the view.
Activities You Will Enjoy Aside From Resting In Hergest Lee Cabin
This stunning part of Wales is full of fabulous walking routes, so make sure you bring your hiking boots. The owners can lend you an OS map that covers the local area. Therefore, you can find your way around with ease. A number of routes are available right from your doorstep, whilst some are slightly further afield. Be sure to try out Stanner Rocks, Wurzel Wood, and Hergest Ridge, all of which are a short stroll from the cabin.
If you want to eat out or enjoy a drink in a lovely country pub, then you’ve got lots of options. The Harp is a 15-minute walk from your door and was voted the Pub of the Year in the UK in 2020. The Forest Inn is a 10-minute drive away and is one of the oldest pubs in Wales. Then, the Royal Oak, which is 2.5 miles away, is another pretty little pub with a nice beer garden.
