The LumiPod is a new type of prefab cabin designed and manufactured by Lumicene. It’s a small, minimalist, and luxurious unit designed to connect users with nature, and the company plans to deliver these pods anywhere in the world.

Three sizes range from an 18-square-meter pod with a limited but chic interior to a 36-square-meter unit suited for families. From a design perspective, the LumiPod stands out due to its very open concept. The unit is designed around a vast curve window. It can slide along rails and open up the interior, immersing the pod in the beautiful nature surrounding it. The window is made of curved glass with aluminum frames between two rails and is the focal point of the entire design.
The Cabin’s Interior
The pod has a tiny interior with a minimalist design and limited features.

The interior comprises a minimalist bedroom with a platform bed and built-in cabinetry.

The LumiPod is designed around a large window measuring 5 meters in diameter which can slide open.

On the outside, the back section of the pod is clad in burned wood, while the rest of the facade consists of the vast curved window we just mentioned. The most miniature version of the pod includes a bedroom and a bathroom with a shower. Long curtains run along the curved window, blocking the sun and offering privacy when needed.

The curved window is meant to connect the pod with nature. Indeed, allows a panoramic view of the immediate surroundings.

The rear section of the pod houses a small bathroom with a toilet and a shower.

The pod’s exterior is clad in burned wood, allowing it to more efficiently and naturally blend into specific types of landscapes.

The back section of the unit is closed off and houses the bathroom. It features a solid wall for complete privacy.

The pod is designed to have minimal impact on the landscape. It leaves little to no marks on the site when removed.
