This Converted Shipping Container House Is The Ideal Outback Escape

An Australian outback vacation is made even better when you stay in this converted container tiny home. Built on a beautiful hill on stilts, this home has tons of space for a full kitchen and bathroom, living area with wood stove, and a fully private bedroom.

Step right up to the full porch on the front of this converted shipping container for a stunning view of the local foliage. With a covered roof, including extra lights and a ceiling fan, this is the perfect space to enjoy a romantic candlelit dinner or lounge after a long day to see the sunset.

There are tons of raw wood elements throughout this home, and this table is just one that I love. Cool little folding “directors chairs” are here for mealtime, but are also a comfy choice for that after dinner drink and enjoying an evening breeze outside.

Just inside the door is a small but comfortable living space. A few chairs, a wall-mouinted TV, and a wood burning stove make this welcoming. The little fan, decor, and plants turn it into a great space to relax anytime of year.

Notice the apartment sized fridge and microwave against one wall separating the living space from the kitchen. While small, this space is more than enough for your every day needs.

The kitchen comes with tons of added cabinets and drawers for storage. Above the windows, you’ll see a nice floating shelf for decor or storing those extra plates and bowls for dinnertime.

I love that this outback vacation home includes both a countertop 2 burner cooktop, but also a built-in full oven space. Whip up a tasty meal and bake a cake with ease in this kitchen!

The Bedroom & Bathroom Will Surely Inspire You To Make A Container Home

A deep sink makes cleanup easy, but that large open counter is appealing to me. It’s perfect for whipping up that cake mix, rolling out your favorite biscuit, or just unloading a few groceries for your evening meal.

Making use of the small space, this home divides up the living areas from the bedroom with a walled in bathroom between the two.

Step down the hall and you’ll find a perfect sliding barn door for bathroom privacy. This style door takes up minimal space while still giving you the privacy needed for a bathroom.

Further down the hall is the private bedroom with it’s own private balcony. There are numerous beautiful but rustic accents throughout this space. Simple wall art matches the paint colors while every light fixture and sconce has a nice artistic or little decor element you’ll love.

I love the rustic bed frame and that this space has room for a larger bed. You can easily add a curtain here to pull closed for more privacy, or leave this open if desired.

The bathroom space is lined with concrete blocks so perfect for easy cleaning. A full sized functional traditional toilet is ideal for daily use, but takes up little space in this small room.

The bathroom vanity is one of my favorite parts of this room. A unique wooden floating vanity is open with clean lines. It looks great against the concrete walls, and the beautiful round bowl sink is a perfect accent color that matches the green trim throughout.

On the left side of this space is a glassed-in shower. While not pictured, this area is large enough for a comfortable shower while not taking up too much extra room in the outback vacation tiny home.

Another look down the hall shows just how long this space actually is. While it is a tiny home in every sense of the word, there is more than enough room for your comfort.

Sit back on the porch for a comfortable meal and stunning view. Both greenery and rock landscaping make the yard and space around the home feel lush. This is the perfect view for a romantic evening in with your love.

Check out the large windows on off the bedroom space. This gives you more great views and tons of extra natural light in this small room. Accents around the space make it a favorite place to relax.

Another excellent feature in this space is the rock fire pit. This can be used for warming up on chili nights or roasting marshmallows for tasty smores treats after dinner.
