Has been a great build, loads good times and teched out to the hilt. Some of the up cycling highlights on this have been all the awesome vintage hardware that we salvaged from the original horse box, a lovely weathered spalted beech worktop that came from chalice hill down the road, all the kitchen and wardrobe are built from some salvaged off an old 1920s cricket pavilion, and of course, the shower is an old cornet given the House-Box treatment.

A 1980 Bedford TK Horsebox converted into a traveling tiny home house truck in The United Kingdom. Built by HouseBox.

    • Hi thanks for your kind comments 🙂 In reference to the cab, Bedford TKs were never made with a provision to tilt the cab. You access the engine via some inspection flaps either side. Most jobs can be undertaken very easily (providing you are bendy!) Is a benefit of converting a TK that because you tend to get a little more headroom in the luton above the cab than on tilting cab trucks.

  1. Wow. That’s really something, I like how the wood and metal drawers are secured and the wood-burning stove. That being said, isn’t this mobile home very heavy? That much wood must add considerable weight to the load that has to be hauled around.
