When you’re looking for a place that feels like home, look no further than the Rabbit Snare Gorge cabin in Nova Scotia. This secluded getaway has been designed by an avid outdoorsman and architect who knows how important it is to respect nature’s landscape; because this property backs up against rugged mountains with spectacular views of its own accord (and without any road access).
The main building stands tall among 46 acres upon which sits two smaller structures: One acts as both garage/ workshop while another houses extra tools we might need during our stay—all easily accessible through.
The house is built to withstand heavy rainstorms and strong winds. It has layered sheathing that helps with high-wind conditions, as well!
Designed by Omar Gandhi Architect in collaboration with Design Base 8.

The compact design of this house is perfect for people who live in high-rise apartments or small homes without much space. The open interior allows you to feel like there’s more living area, while still having all your needs met within its four walls!

The structural system includes layered sheathing, which helps with high winds; it also has an open interior layout that keeps its narrow footprint from feeling too small in comparison to other houses of similar size (about 2-3 times as big). Between the second floor living room/kitchen combo and loft space above lies ground-level housing bedrooms along with access into one’s own private entryway at first glance!
