  1. Great design and space. I could see myself and family living in this, or using it for vacations. I would add just a few things and it would be just about perfect. I would add railing to the shelves and a draw bridge type front porch and a detachable awning. 🙂

  2. OMG Love it Realy One of the only ones that I have seen that could actuly work for my family. We are a 4 person family, (me, hubby, 4yrold&3yrold girls). I would have to have a more framed and fully railed up to the ceiling for the loft with the stairs. My 2 would push their toys of the edge and say oppys lol. We live in a one br apt right new bleh.

  3. I’ve been wondering how much is enough for a family of four, this looks about right. I love all the exposed beams.

Those squawking at the price don’t realize that a freestanding home in Northern CA (where this was built) begins at $100,000 (in the middle of nowhere or the ghetto) and goes up rapidly for a desirable location and a clean pest report. Once you factor in a place to park, this house should cost about half as much as a 2 br/1 ba home in a decent neighborhood, and it’s brand spankin’ new and energy efficient.

All that said, I wouldn’t want to tow it up Hwy 9 out of Felton! Then over Hwy 17?? Yikes!

  4. i have been looking at tiny houses web sites and on youtube for a couple of years now. one thing i am finding is that tiny houses appear to be a great deal IF the owner builds themselves. buying a well made house pre-built becomes too expensive. only slabtown customs makes tiny houses at prices anywhere affordable for most folks, although apparently he did have a bad spell for a time where he got flaky with a customer or two, but looking at his youtube channel, he is back in business. he is building great tiny houses for 20-25k.
these guys i am thinking probably do a better quality job than Slabtown customs, but their prices are just too high. its makes me wonder how many of these would be tiny house builders have done their homework about who their customer really is. the affluent, looking for a extra 4th house, or low and middle income folks trying to avoid a mortgage? they and a lot of other tiny builders might be better off selling plans by and large and leave actual building to custom builds

  5. The whole point of a tiny home is to be small and to be AFFORDABLE! These prices are ridiculous!!!! I could purchase a home with one acre in my area for close to $85,000. Makes no sense that people are taking what is supposed to be practical and earth friendly and putting the typical overpriced waste factor into it. These types of homes are for the trendies, who think it’s ‘cool’ to live in one for six months until they get bored.

  6. I think this is one of the best tiny homes I’ve seen so far. Because there is only myself to house, its size is perfect. That there is a stair to the bedroom loft that I’d sleep in, it makes access vastly easier for this in-her-60’s woman. The lightness, airiness, combination of woods and other materials–it’s all very appealing.

I’d have a real home, not this boarding house room; I’d have privacy, peace, quiet and serenity in such a sweet little house.

Kudos to the designer(s) and builders.

  7. I think this is a beautiful tiny house. The only thing I would change is close in both of the doors shown and have one glass door situated between the bathroom and the foot of the stairs. That would free up more wall and floor space and expand your furnishing options.

    • I agree Connie, I love the colors, and with my one child, and pets, it is perfect! 85, 000 is for the convenience and materials….well built is worth it! Have your own land, make it off grid, and you could live well, and it will last….beautiful!

  8. Apparently, a number of people here think that the builder should be a donating the home to them as charity. Tiny houses are affordable – IF you build it yourself. If you don’t, then you’re not just paying for the materials, but for the builder’s time and (very considerable) effort. Why folks have trouble with builders making a profit is a bit of a mystery, since most folks expect to get paid for the job that *they* do. To the poster who claims “you can buy a home for $85K,” I’d say, hey! buy a home then! I live in Canada, where the average house price nationally is – wait for it – $369,339. That makes a tiny home pretty affordable here – whether you build it yourself or not.

  9. Hi,
My name is Jason Avila. I’m interested in visiting your location and seeing any tiny houses you have done or /and building at the moment. I can’t seem to find your address on the website nor a telephone number. If you can please contact me as soon as possible I’ll appreciate it.

  10. I believe, from what i see, the builder did a great job in layout design and quality of fit and finish. Im currently constructing a much smaller single axle tiny house for my family as a weekender for camping. Im a GC by trade, and plan on beginning to build for customers who are looking for unique, quality tiny homes. Yes, $85k in my area (Ohio Valley) would buy you a small, 50-100 yr old home, possibly needing repairs. Not much bang for the buck. But I also believe a home of comparison to this can possibly be built for 25-30% less without sacrificing quality or safety, or amenities. I plan to put mine in my local homeshow and rv show this winter/spring, hoping to build as part of my business. Have a great day!

  11. There were quite a few things that ticked boxes for me on this one. The front door is a nice shape and the exterior and interior colour is purple (my favourite colour), but what really got my attention were the stairs with BANNISTERS leading to a great sized bedroom with STANDING HEIGHT. And the bathroom looks great as well, and there does appear to be a lot of space for furniture. The link states the house as being $75000.

  12. Well i really like it! But i also realize that depending on were you live, the cost of houses very quite a bit.,some areas that is a good price, but in others, not so much!
