Yay! I love the bedroom and cat door. Friendly and personal. Nicely done.
This is a small, lovely space that is perfectly livable.
Couldn’t figure out the second hole next to the composting toilet. Then I realized her cats must be trained to use it. That’s awesome! Was wanting a photo of the corner with the woodburner — but now I’ve bookmarked the blog that the URL leads to, and I’m sure that I’ll find a photo when I have time to catch up on Rowan’s adventure.
LOL You are funny 😉 the second hole is to put the saw dust that you use for your composting toilet… see Rowan’s blog and you’ll understand better the concept : http://rowanstinyhome.blogspot.ca/ 🙂
I thought the catbox was in there,!
I love your house, it’s beautiful! We live in Tupper Lake and it’s so nice to hear about one so close by. I’ve been gradually getting ideas from different ones I’ve read about and hope to try one for myself a few years from now. In the meantime I look forward to your blog to keep my motivation up!
So I was wrong about the sawdust storage — I thought that would in the hanging bucket. Shows that there are options and everyone will do things a little bit differently than someone else. Enjoyed the blog, and certainly picked up a tip or two. Thanks!
Perfection! This is what tinyhouses are all about…….. period!
“I just figured that the two-seater toilet was sourced from the Economy section of a defunct airline,” said [me] the bitter frequent flyer.
Very sensible. Thoreau would approve.
Beautiful
Where did you get the building plans from?
Just wonderful to see the symbiosis of another Human Being with our Feline comrades. A very thoughtfully designed and skillfully executed Home. My congratulations. This is really what live is all about.
I think I just fell in love. With Rowan and her house.
And her cat.
Impressed! How is it permitted? Not far from me in smAlbany. What are u using for refrigeration? Are you finding it satisfactory? Tx
Really, really like this one; love tiny houses where one doesn’t have to climb to a loft to go to bed. So livable! Now if only I could afford one!
Perfection! this one is bookmarked for me when I am one day on my own in retirement. My husband is not interested in tiny house living so I have to wait till he pops his clogs before I can live my tiny house dream! :)))
I like the fact that this house is a perfect example of complete off-grid. And, that she has fingured out how to live without city water or a powered water pump. Most people don’t realize how much 220v power a well pump draws and that most off-grid power systems aren’t big enough to handle them.
So many nice touches… and always great to see a real lived in home. The shower is beautiful.
