As much as I love tiny houses, it saddens me that square footage requirement force these houses to be built on wheels. I would love to some day be able to buy a piece of property and build two or three permanent structures like these on it.
I love it. Almost as much as I love the Minim house, of which this is a nearly direct copy. Not that that’s a bad thing, because the Minim house is fantastic and worth copying, but some mention should be made of the original designers of this layout and design, don’t you think?

(By the way, I am in no way affiliated with Minim homes, I just really appreciate their work.)
Tiny House Swoon is somewhat parsimonious with their copy & that info probably didn’t make the edit here, but the builders do credit Minim for their distinctive floor plan on their own site & they link to Minim’s site itself. Scroll down to the 2014 project:

Very nice! The results look very professional. Kudos to all, teacher and students alike.
great design and good craftsmanship.
Nice build. This design is totally plundered, though. Here is the one they are copying: http://minimhomes.com/
It isn’t plundered. The creator and builder offers plans on his site.
They didn’t ‘plunder’ it anymore than the builders of the ubiquitous Tumbleweed Houses have plundered their plans.
This group credits Minim for their floor plan on their own site (many people who showcase their Tumbleweed plan homes don’t often bother to do that)
https://www.sustainafest.org/tiny-house/
and and even links to Minim which sells the plan they used:

If you’ve noticed, Tiny House Swoon doesn’t offer much written info at all on the homes they feature, but the builders themselves clearly weren’t trying to pull a fast one on us or Minim. 😉
I love this beautiful home. If it had more bedrooms I would be interested in it for my family.
