  1. Now THIS is a simple, lovely, no-frills, cheaper?, and solid design. I do hope those windows are insulated, though. It looks lovely having all that light, but all that window means all that warm air could be leaving. Other than that, it’s very nice. Very good job. It is cheaper, right?

  2. I love that the bed is on the same level as everything else and not in a loft, would be easier for my ol’ aching bones. I love all the windows except for the heat loss. Would absolutely love it if it were not so modern and more rustic with a wood stove! would be perfect! oh and a porch or deck.

  3. Love the open space design. Very well planned. Insulated the right way, it would be passive solar heated in all the summer months. Though I am curious to how it is heated in winter.

  4. Not a thing you don’t need. That trick with the mirror next to the bathroom door extending the cabinets for the illusion of more space is clever. If I had to guess, I’d say hydronic heating in the floors. Soo quiet. But this would probably heat up well with a ceramic heater if it’s insulated.

This model could be enlarged just slightly and include a loft so that there’s more living space where the bed is now. And I’d probably add a small glass-front wood stove. Sound track for the snowfall…

  5. Nice! Looks like he’s got at least six units in various stages of production, which means he’s actually getting orders and is busy. I’ve seen far too many of these startups where they use other people’s ‘examples’ as their own advertising, which makes you wonder what that builder’s real models would look like.

  6. Assuming it is well insulated I dont think would change a thing. Oh being a girl, curtains please, or is that glass one that flips to block out at the touch of a button?

oops take that back I would round the end corner of the kitchen bench, gauranteed I would live with a permanet bruise from banging into that so close to the bed. But still if someone offered this to me as a gift I would graciously accept :).
