I’m especially impressed that he fit a bathroom and a ground-floor bed in just 98 square feet! Although–come to think of it–this looks better suited as a guest house than a permanent residence, since I can’t see much storage space for clothes, gear, food, etc. Amazing how omitting storage can really open up a space… haha.
You could put hideaway storage space in the floor or ceiling for clothes and other things. This layout is the best I’ve seen for the space.
Lovely, if a bit spare. I see this as being great for traveling, or for an oil field worker . I know I would junk it up with all sorts of tschotchkes if I tried to live in it full-time, but a more disciplined person could have quite a sweet life in it I think!
What size trail are you using?
i would do with more built in cabinets, shelves on the empty wall where the picture is-at the ft of the bed , plastic rollabouts…i would also eliminate the table and instead put smaller width cabinets with fold out tray to use for a table/laptop, on the bed side, so that you can eat there /laptop while in a folding chair or in bed….also move the door 1 ft over towards the middle and eliminate the small window and put a floor to ceiling narrow closet in that space, and all along the top, above the windows narrow width storage cabinets
I think this is PERFECT. Ground floor bed, lots of light, light furnishings dotted with wood trim. Smart design throughout. Wouldn’t cost a FORTUNE to build. Thanks for sharing!

Cute, but this layout makes for some essentially useless space between the door and bathroom. If the door had been closer to the wheels and the bathroom across one end instead it would leave more space in the middle. I suppose there may not have been quite enough space to do that. If there were you could have the shower on the left, bathroom door in the centre and toilet to the right, with the kitchen counter leaving a bit more space beside the bed. I really like the look of the white interior with wood trim. Could use a bit more cupboard space in the kitchen though. And desperately in need of window coverings.
The changes you suggest would definitely wring more living space out of the 7 x 14 platform, but at the cost of reducing the open space end-to-end that makes the inside so visually calming. Assuming your under-bed, and under-counter storage is sufficient, the desgin he made with this one is probably the most well-thought 7 x 14 that I’ve ever seen, and he the design he uses doesn’t take away from that gorgeous 1:2 ratio for the living space like an end-end installation would.
I agree that this might be not well suited for a permanent home … but for a summer home or add a marine heater for a few winter months, it seems to be more livable to me than homes twice the size.

I really couldn’t see living in here, but I’d love to remove the bed and use it as an office or studio space. Plenty of light coming in those windows to get work done by.
The use of white beadboard makes all the difference in creating a feeling of space and airy lightness in this tiny house. So many of the tiny houses I have seen feel oppressively small because of all the wood inside. This plan also incorporated large windows, which also helps make it feel bigger and brighter. A great design!
I may soon come into possession of a 14′ trailer, and this is just what I’ve been looking for: a single-story. I want my first build to be this open, a retreat or a studio as much as a house, just to see what I can do with the space, and this is gorgeous. Thanks for sharing!
I love this! I would like to see a thin, half-wall next to the bed. Bed side could have a TV & bedside storage, while the other side could be the kitchen. That leaves the middle for storage & a lounge area. Otherwise, this is really so excellent! Well done.

Calm, light, bright, elegant. If I were to add anything it would be small, white, upholstered chair next to the bed to sit and read and sit and eat as well.
I see storage. Under the bed, under the counter, in the bathroom. I guess if you commit to living 98 square feet, not having a lot to store is part of the deal.
