I like this a lot except for 2 steps leading to the loft. Great use of space but you must install a handrail going up those steps. Love the colors inside and out!
Don’t care for the steps. They’re a bit of an eye sore. Feels like a last minute addition, if im being honest.
Very nice. For me though, I’d like a safe set of stairs. Safe stairs don’t look as cool, but they hide the blood stains better. 😉
Unfortunately, issues abound in this design for me. 1) Precarious stairway, as mentioned by Brian. 2) rather poor use of space all around. 3) Huge, blocking refrigerator, and toilet (and the latter the focal point if you leave the bath door open). 4) Stainless steel appliances in an otherwise white environment. 5) No comfortable place to sit. 6) Too many, small windows (could be maintenance problems like leakage and mildew down the line, especially in cold weather areas). 7) Uncomplimentary combination of wood types and colors. 8) Questionable quality of materials used. There are now so many great design, layout, materials, and space allocation choices nowadays, that this particular project is a surprise.
I was picturing just such a set of stairs for our current build, and I really appreciate seeing them in action here. That fridge is enormous! Not for me, but I’m sure someone out there who worries about food storage will be encourage by your incorporation of a big fridge.
When you design or build a tiny house, be best ones keep everything in small scale, and the design detailing low contrast and of excellent quality construction and implementation – almost like jewelery. It doesn’t need to look like a yacht, but it shouldn’t look like a garage either. This particular example looks better from the outside than the inside and will be more of a challenge to sell. You should have ascending levels of value impression in the marketing path. Wow after wow after wow. Check your competition. There are quite a few doing amazing work and getting it just right.
another poor design which features a view of the toilet from. It does provide a poorly designed kitchen, and a loft for a mattress on the floor. This is not competivie with other moblie Tiny Houses or RVs.
I agree with everyone about the interior design, which could have been better executed. While it’s great to see stairs in this one, they look quite steep which would not be a good fit for older people with mobility problems. The lack of a handrail is troubling in this regard; it’s an accident waiting to happen. This may be this particular TH builder’s very first model, and if so, they can learn from the constructive criticism here and make their next build more aesthetically pleasing as well as safer.
