This is lovely, truly lovely. Great use of wood and other textures. I’m just gobsmacked by the trend toward larger kitchens and baths, at the cost of comfortable living (no room for soft seating) and sleeping space (there’s virtually no headroom in this home’s loft).
Its a very beautiful tiny home. I love the large windows and the full bathroom/kitchen. I do agree on the sitting area/loft. I would of done a sky loght bump out in the loft to give it more head room. I would also slide the stairs to the kitchen to the left and make a couch area on one side of the open floor. Id also make the trailer a bit longer and give it a full closet. Realistically the one shown will hold almost nothing substanial. I really like the design of it tho just needs some adjustments for realistic living.
the benches are a genius move.
This home has made it to my ‘short list’. I’d put more angle on the roof over the sleeping loft to get more headroom, and move the window to a side rather than behind the bed. And a more substantial ladder. Otherwise I love it.
Stunning.
MORE INFORMATION ON THE PICTURES PLEASE. This is nice. Some genius ideas like seating under kitchen floor, but I can’t see where the table appeared from. I agree with another responder WHY such a large kitchen, and head height in loft, need a little more. Bathroom is fine you need a bit of space in there.
Robyne, the video shows where the table is hidden
Thank you Diana.
I love the clever use of space in this house! I am a little curious as to how you used so much tile. I’ve always heard that tile shouldn’t be used in tiny homes because breaks and is pretty heavy. How’d you pull it off, if you don’t mind me asking?
Suggestion- maybe the table could double as a bed? Nice attention to detail and beautiful finishes. I’m also wondering how you would have privacy?
LOVE this! Beautiful! Amazing design!
So much to love and some to complain about as well. The loft is too short and claustrophobic for me. Needs side windows, air flow and access out in an emergency. Downstairs there is no comfortable place to sit and if you do use the table as a bed where is that mattress going to be stored when not used for sleeping? I love the exterior, decks and the massive downstairs windows. I’d give up a lot of the kitchen and bathroom perks to have room for a small comfy couch or chairs.
Swoon – verb – be emotionally affected by someone or something that one admires; become ecstatic. By very definition, this site, I thought, was to admire and be captivated by the human spirit of creativity and building. It seems, though, that every single listing has a complaint or criticism or nit pick that just does’ t reflect the intention of this site. Would I ever live in a Yurt? Nope, but dang they are cool. Would I design “this” or “that” the same way as “they” did? Nah, but a huge shout out to the people who actually “DID” it and allowed me to appreciate it too. Lofts seem to bring the most nag nag spirit; could we just agree that when “you” build yours you won’t do it that way?
This house has features and creativity well beyond most of our imaginations. It is a privilege to see it. Actually, all the structures on this site have particular features to be admired. We are all privileged to see them.
Agree completely, Jeff! I love looking at all the wonderful creative ways to make use of space, and the variety of choices people have made. Do I swoon over certain ones more than others? Sure- but every house is a treat to see. I take note of favorite features for my ‘someday’. Kudos to David L. for this gorgeous design. So clean and modern, yet warm and earthy too. It’s like a love letter to the great outdoors with the giant slider and fold down deck!
Hands down the best Tiny House for what my interests are that I have seen. Great job! As a woodworker I am impressed with your ingenuity and use of beautiful Walnut wood. Also the white paint works well in these houses. Bench system is very well thought out.
Best “tiny house” I’ve seen during my research the last 6+ months!! Design is amazing and original; materials are quality; and the exterior is very pleasing to the eye AND it blends right in to a natural setting. I’m extremely impressed! Great job!
So so clever. Very smart. Will be coming back to this one again and again I think.
There’s an awful lot of mosquitos in TN for me to want to open up the side of my house :-/
Okay.I absolutely LOVE this one.It just looks like there is put so much effort in it.A house like this is my absolute dream!
need to know if you built for others and the price of this model. thanks
Dream house definitely and it’s a compromise for a full foundation home and all the huge maintenance costs that go with it , so who wouldn’t want a tiny house, it is brilliant.!
WHT IS THE PRICE FOR THIS AWESOME HOME?
I was so happy to come upon this tiny house again! I fell in love with it the first time I saw it posted here. It’s everything I imagine myself living in! Perfection!
I’d love to know the price.
