Aloha! I just wanted to share my new tiny home. I found this old Spartan trailer at a yard sale, gutted it and my mom and I remodeled it with the help of a few friends. I am obsessed with tiny living and I just love your page 🙂
A vintage Spartan trailer restored in California. Shared and owned by Jennie Porter.
Originally shared at Tiny House Swoon.
Oh my goodness, what a great job you did, and what an inviting space! Love it love it love it. Would love to know how you cook, and, and,
er….is there a bathroom? Outhouse?
Usually when I’m fantasizing about my tiny home, it MUST HAVE FACILITIES, but I’m sure that stumbling to the outhouse in the middle of the night in Hawaii is a lot more pleasant than currently 12 degree New York.
In any case, GREAT JOB!
Love your space. You have a great eye.
Thank you! 🙂
That’s gorgeous! Did you restore the exterior too?
Good job!.. I’m sure your work will motivate a lot of people!!
What an efficient use of space, Jennie! Very aesthetically pleasing too! I loved Paia when I stayed in Hawaii… A beautiful small town with big ideas 🙂
Oh my gosh – I’m in love with this! Is there a bathroom and kitchen? I love this so much!

Wow!! Great looking, you did a wonderful job. I love everything about it! Thanks for sharing.
Very nice job on the restoration. How long did it take you? I am gathering all info. I can because I hope to start building myself a tiny house in the next couple months.
It took me 25 days. 🙂
I am currently in transition from a one bedroom apartment to a ‘shared’ home with other single adults to save some money and hopefully within 2014 have my own vintage trailer! My personal space is a 12×12 bedroom with a couple of kitchen cabinets and a bathroom shelf. What does not go into my room, in the closet or under the bed has now found a home somewhere else. I’m determined to “downsize” to live life LARGER! You did an amazing job! I love the remodel and it is quiet inspiring.
I love this … great design. I live in my 50′ Spartan Executive Villa. I would have loved to see how they got yours to Hawaii.
