    • Hi Jonnie. Thank you for your lovely comment. Although I believe a walker would fit in the hallway of ouf bus, there are 4 fairly steep steps to get up into it so I don’t know how accommodating that would be. I have no doubt that a skoolie could be designed with this in mind, you just have to find a model of bus that is “Just Right” for your specific accessibility requirements.

      • If you are wondering about buses for the handicapped or partly handicapped, they are available. Many schools are now using buses with wheelchair lifts. Many other social groups are selling buses from 16 to 20 passenger size up to 60 passenger size with and without lifts. You could also incorporate a fold down ramp in the door area to reduce the risk of navigating stairs steps.

    • Hi, I don’t think Kelly saw this, so I thought I’d reply. The Just Right Bus, is just right for Kelly and Chris. It could be a challenge for someone with a walker, but not impossible. The biggest challenge would be the steps. They’re the same as most school buses. But if you had a school bus designed for you, it would have space enough for a walker and but just right for you.

  1. BATHTUB LOVE! In the kitchen just like a Greenwich Village apartment. Great storage thinking, too. Don’t know how mobile you’re going to be, but what a comfortable homey nest. Even older folks could make themselves at home in it.

    • Hi Kim! We don’t travel as much as we’d like but do every chance we get. It takes about a day to get everything ready and strapped down to hit the road so some planning is involved with travel. Now that the bus is just about done, we hope to travel more when husband has breaks from school.
